As we know, not all can wear a little black dress, in fact, few women can wear it - I can not, I look like a "small" black potato sack. LOL

14K gold filled:

Gold filled is a hollow tube of 14K gold that is filled with another metal. The exterior of the gold filled jewelry is solid karated gold and everything you can see or touch is a solid layer of karated gold.

This tube of karated gold is approximately 100 times thicker than gold plate. It is made by bonding with heat and pressure - with normal wear and tear the karated gold will never tarnish, chip or wear off.

By law this layer of karated gold has to be at least 1/20 of the total weight of the metal portion of the piece of jewelry.

In the USA this process is referred to as ‘gold filled’. In Europe the same process will be called ‘rolled gold’. Both terms are synonymous with each other. 

Many jewelry purchasers outside the jewelry trade mistakenly think 'gold filled' is the same as 'gold-plate' - NO!!!  'Gold filled is a much higher quality product.

I love this great material,  It's cheaper than gold and more expensive than  sterling silver, I am very pleased with it,  and  you  get value for money and quality jewellery.  great !!!

How to Clean Gold Filled Jewelry:
 

Salt water and chlorine in swimming pools will all take their toll on all gold filled jewelry. Be sure to wipe your jewelry carefully with a soft polishing cloth regularly to keep it clean of these elements which oxidizes.

Berlin ... Here we come

Hello my dear friends

Finally, after 10 months, I will meet my sons, who live in Berlin.
Michael and Amit, my sons, both musicians, moved to Berlin, they play in different music ensembles, and loving every minute.
I'm happy they're happy, but miss them very much.

So excited! I heard so many wonderful stories about this beautiful city, and if I did not do it until today, so I'll do the next few days.
In the past we have taken them on trips, today, It turned over, we go following the children, so I came first time to Barcelona, when my youngest son lives there.

My colorful event

Hi dear friends

On Saturday, I was with my twin sister : Havatzelet hHaramati  in her house, we held an event called in Israel "open house".

              Do not ask me who is who, lol

It happens twice a year, Rosh Hashanah (new year) and Passover, in many places in Israel.,
To exhibit and sell our art.

Like many places in the world, before the holidays, people like to spend money , lol.
Most of the "houses" invite guest artists to introduce their art.
My dear sister, (my best friend) invited me to show my jewelry.

 

 

The weather was wonderful, the garden looked great, everything is blooming, including the Amazing special purple wisteria.

 

 We  both make art.

Her knitted are great, her hand burning  and painted wood are fabulous  and her colors painting on wood are happy.

 

 

Is it coincidence that we both make art?  I Do not know....
 

We grew up in eclectic House, very colorful, our mother was very creative, Which is really not surprising that our works are colorful, optimistic and happy.

 The event was very happy, lots of people came, this event pretty exhausting, but fun :)

NALAGA'AT (in Hebrew) - Touch Please

A month ago, I went  through one of the more exciting experiences I had.
At the Jaffa port in Tel Aviv, there is a   deaf - blind center called  Nalaga'at.

A group comprised of people who are both deaf and blind and therefore only know to communicate on a one-to-one basis with the help of personal tactile-sign language interpreters.
In the center there are 2 restaurants and a theater.
One restaurant is in the foyer, the other restaurant which is in a separate space is called  BLACKOUT  - A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE  of dinning in the dark escorted by blind waiters.
" When the eyes do not engage in the eating process, one’s ability to taste and smell food sharpens. There is so much to be “seen” when eyes are closed…" says the blind. 

Once in a lifetime experience.
We went  to "Not by Bread Alone" show.

"if there is not hand-shake I do not know you exist"  that was the opening sentence of a deaf-blind actor.
I had tears in my eyes, so simple so true.
Throughout the play, the actors  (some of them) talk about the moments of happiness, their dreams and memories, love and passion.
They play, dance, move, I sat transfixed at the sight of the signs with a touch of each other. I was fascinated, from the way they communicate.
During the show we hear a drum beat used to sign players to change a scene. They feel the vibrations of the drum  and I felt my  heartbeats.
They give us their feelings with a lot of humor, and remove any confusion .
 At the end of the play the audience is invited to go onstage -After several minutes of confusion, we got on stage, and with lots of love, we shook hands.
I left the show, very excited,  with  appreciation to these people, and understanding that their needs are no different from  our needs,  with an  attention to things around me.
I was thrilled from this experience - Thanks with love .

WHY TURQUOISE AND ORANGE.......

Hi everyone !

Welcome to my first blog
It seems like it took me ages, but finally it happened.
I'm very excited , I have a lot of things I'd like to share with you, and do not know where to start, lots of images running in my head...

People ask me about  my color combinations.
They tell me "Your jewelry are very colorful, bright and airy, from where did you get your inspiration?"

So maybe I'll start from the beginning ...
I live the big city of of Israel -  Tel Aviv, in an ancient area of ​​the city called Jaffa.

Ancient port city, an area that was built in several styles and this is its uniqueness, many colors, peeling walls tell her stories, and I really love to walk and absorb the colors and smells, I love the sunsets on the beach.

The weather is warm and bright almost throughout the year.

Even when there are clouds, the sun finds a way to look at us, I love it.

You might be asking why am I telling you all this?

Okay,
Those things that affect my work over the years, the strong light of the sun paints the sea and the sky deep blue, all colors that surrounds me are  deep colors and strong and all that brings me colorfulness I love, strong colors, especially the blue and turquoise that I see in the sea and the sky.
I feel that colors are celebrating because of the great light, and I celebrate with them .

You can see on my shop that the blue/turquoise of the sky and sea and the orange/yellow of the sun are my favorite colors:
